Block by Block: 3rd & Great Jones Street

Manhattan’s 3rd Street cuts through the lowest stretches of Alphabet City, the East Village, NoHo, and the heart of NYU, wrapping up at the gates of the West Village. For a two block stretch between Bowery and Broadway, 3rd also transforms into Great Jones Street (with a pretty amusing origin, if curious). Enjoy the chilled, cobbled together (you’ll see) walk, block by block:
